Sandra Ackroyd: Chief Executive

Sandra joined HERIB in July 2012 as the Chief Executive. Sandra has a background in training and development and working in a business advisory capacity with small businesses and charities and has previously worked in the public, private and voluntary sector as well as being self employed. As Chief Executive, Sandra is responsible for the day to day running of the charity reporting to the Board of Management on a regular basis.

Sandra lives in Hull and is married with 2 teenage children and a dog.  When not at work Sandra enjoys travelling and socialising with family and friends.  Walking is another favourite pastime and she can often be seen with her walking boots on in the countryside or chasing the dog around a local park!

Alison Stannard : Services Manager

Alison joined HERIB in September 2011 after working for the local authority in a PR/Marketing and Support role.  After a number of years coordinating the Resource Centre provision, she was promoted to the role of Services Manager in January 2015 and since then she has overseen the development of two new projects:  SocialEyes and Telephone Befriending, which has seen a rapid expansion of HERIB support services.  Alison enjoys spending time with her family and visiting the local coast and walking in the countryside.


Angela Gregory : Income Generation & Marketing Manager

Angela joined HERIB in 2011 having previously worked in a similar role at a small national charity.  She is responsible for coordinating all the fundraising activities at the charity as well and promoting HERIB in both the local media and online. In her spare time Angela loves to watch rugby league having previously worked for Sheffield Eagles RLFC.
