Charity Champion

Can you become a Champion?

Staff at Andrew Jackson Solicitors organise a cake stall to raise funds for HERIB

Our Charity Champions help us to raise money and charity awareness in their places of work. They organise fundraising events and collections with colleagues e.g. stamp recycling, cake stalls, book stalls and encourage payroll giving and Christmas card donations.

Charity Champions also promote HERIB campaigns and events within workplaces.

We are looking for individuals who are:

  • Friendly and outgoing
  • Able to work under own direction
  • Able to follow charity's procedures
  • Have approval from their employers

You are not required to have prior knowledge of visual impairment, however, a general understanding would be useful (please check our website for basic information on eye conditions). You will be offered the opportunity to undertake a one day Visual Impairment Awareness training course as part of your volunteering.

If you are interested in becoming a Charity Champion, please contact HERIB on 01482 342297.
