Our Wellbeing Champions are a group of visually impaired volunteers who aim to raise awareness about HERIB’s services and to signpost other people with sight loss to the relevant support that they might need.
Our Wellbeing Champions bring their ability to relate to people and their own experience of sight loss to help transform the mental health and wellbeing of other people within the visually impaired community by empowering and motivating people to get involved in healthy social activities.
They help to remove barriers and create supportive networks and environments so that others can lead healthier lives thus making a real difference within the visually impaired community.
