HERIB has linked up with O2 (Hull St Andrew’s Quay) to offer local people with visual impairments the opportunity to brush up on their IT skills and get the most out of their mobile phones and tablets.
The local O2 Guru will be working with the charity to offer advice on the best devices and accessibility options available as well as delivering free tech accessibility workshops and offering free 30 minute appointments in store for people to pick the best device to suit their needs.
The first workshop will focus on the topic of travel, navigational +GPS apps, bus travel apps and Google maps for travel.
Our O2 Guru Jack will also demonstrate some mid -range mobiles (Doro and Samsung) for those people wanting to step up from basic phones to something a little more advanced with speech, but who don’t necessarily need or want an IPhone.
The workshop will take place on:
Wednesday 30th August
at HERIB on Beverley Road in Hull.
Places are limited and anyone who would like more information or to book a place should contact Tracy Atkinson at HERIB on 01482 342297 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
