Thanks to funding from the Big Lottery Fund, our Optimeyes project works in partnership with the national charity RNIB and five other local sight loss charities across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.

The two year scheme aims to identify older people who are experiencing problems with their vision and refer them on to local health, social and charity services which can provide them with additional support.

This innovative project will be facilitated by working with other local organisation such as Fire and Rescue Services during home visits.

During the two year scheme staff and volunteers from other local organisations will be trained to use RNIB’s eye screening tool which will detect possible sight loss so that people can then be referred for a thorough eye test or signposted to services in their local area which may be of benefit to them.

If you or someone you know is experiencing sight loss, please call us call 01482  342297 to find out more about the range of support that is available.
