Assistive Technology Suite
Using information and assistive technology has become a key skill for everyday living, enabling access to services, products and leisure opportunities as well as education and employment.
With help from our friends at Ability IT we now have a new Assistive Technology Suite offering a more private and quiet space in which we can offer both workshops and personal tuition.
It is never too late to start learning and age isn't a barrier to develop computing skills. If you would like to learn with one to one tuition why not call our Training Officer to book your place or to have a chat about how best we can help you.

Our Information sessions are specifically aimed at people who have been newly registered by their Eye Consultant/Ophthamologist as being Sight Impaired or Severely Sight Impaired. The session explains the process of registration and is aimed at helping people to cope with the trauma of being diagnosed with sight loss before moving on to our Looking Ahead themed programme.
The session also offers a relaxing and informal opportunity to meet others who are in a similar position.
